Which is why I've suddenly done basically a huge sketch dump sort of thing.

Friday I'll be returning to Williamsburg to finish my last year as an undergraduate. It's a little bit crazy, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's going to be a busy year ahead, but hopefully a great one. I'll be assistant designing our Theatre Department's production of Cabaret, which I'm really excited about. I've started looking into graduate schools for Scenic Design. What a process.

That's about all for now.

So, clearly I have not been keeping this up at all, which has been really bad (For fear of saying "Epic Fail. You'd know what I mean if you've seen the recent addition to my scraps, or are friends with me on fbook). Anyway...

So, I could just start posting from my blog here, but I think that's boring, so I'll try to keep this one a bit better to keep it more refreshing.

It's been almost exactly two years since I last posted. Wow... Quite a bit has happened in that time. But, for now the most important, exciting thing is that I'm studying in Scotland for the semester at St. Andrews. So, be on the lookout for photos from my adventures here!

It appears I'm due for an update. It has been quite a while, and so very much has happened.

I'm already approaching the end of my first semester of college. Wow. Time really flies when one has fun. And, college, among other things, has so far been such great fun. I've decided that the best decision I've ever made was auditioning for Mystic Theatre, a student-run theatre "club" on campus. This fall they put on "The Crucible" and "Caesar and Cleopatra", and I had the privilege to be cast in both. In doing so, I gained a great number of friends.

Additionally, being in Mystic allowed me to meet probably the most wonderful young man ever. What began as a mutual liking for one another has blossomed into the most amazing relationship in which I've ever been. We have quite a lot in common and are ridiculously happy with one another.

Additionally additionally, I've surprised myself. I came into college, not thinking I'd ever want to join a sorority. Well, I was wrong. I am now a sister in Phi Mu, a group of the most fantastic, nice, and talented young women I've ever met. It's absolutely wonderful that I have 83 friends I can go to for anything, whether just to hang out or if I need advice.

I can't even record all the details as to what has occurred since I arrived here. But, I can without a doubt say that William & Mary is where I belong. I love it here and couldn't be happier.

I seem to have misplaced my summer? Do you happen to know where it is?

I pretty much didn't accomplish what I'd planned to accomplish this summer, mostly within the artistic circle. I have very few drawings I'm all that thrilled with, and none of them are really complete anyway. I guess I'll try to make a push these next couple days, but I'm not promising anything, as I leave for Williamsburg on Thursday.

I must say, looking back on this past week, having to say good-bye to my very closest friends has been emotionally painful. As much as I know I'll be able to see them during vacations and whatnot, there's that awful, aching part of me sadly wondering if I ever really will see them again. And even so, things will be different. We'll all have changed, grown even more. We won't be able to go back to those moments of glory that even defy all manner of description. Sure, we'll make new friends, study what we love, and become involved wherever we may be. But, there will still be those lost years, glorious memories of the love of friendship. I'm aching to leave...but aching  also because I know how very special it is what I'm leaving.

As you may (or may not) have noticed, I've recently been uploading a whole bunch of essays, poems, etc. I've been going back through a lot of my text documents, and just feel like putting them up. Especially as it's basically the end of the school year (my graduation is this upcoming Saturday) and I was going through old stuff. So yea.

Other than that, my school year has ended rather well. I'm going to a college I adore, William and Mary. Everything has settled rahter nicely.

So, now that I have much more time on my hands...well, sort of...I can get back to more drawing. Yay.
